Design springs eternal

The French talent and tradition of design and creation didn’t stop with Marie-Antoinette. Paris has one of the longest histories of furniture and objet d’art creation, from the 18th century to today.

For a day discovering all Paris has to offer in design, start by choosing a period rich in creation:

  • Empire
  • Napoleon III
  • Art Nouveau at the turn of the 20th century
  • Art Déco around the 1930’s
  • works from the 40’s and 50’s
  • international pop movements the 80’s
  • contemporary art design - small editions of exceptional pieces

Your day of exploration will revolve around your specific interests, whether the be in shops, galleries or auctions. city | art insider will introduce you to the dealers, antique or contemporary, and we'll stop at one of the better cafés and restaurants on our route.

By the end of the day we want you to be as knowledgeable as we are, about the the history, provenance, techniques and other information pertaining to your interests.

For all our clients, it’s as much about the experience of Paris as it is about the design.

And, of course, if you've made acquisitions, we help make certain they arrive home safely.
