Dreaming of Spring?

After a long and busy winter, March will mark the real start of the "season" and you'll find many new events and places to discover with us throughout Paris.

Our top picks

After a long hiatus, Picasso Museum is back on the scene.  We can't wait to show you around and wind up our visit on the charming rooftop garden. Our 1/2 day visit to the Musée is perfect when paired with a half-day Marais tour.

Fondation LVMH/Louis Vuitton Foundation in the Bois de Boulogne will present an important exhibition "Les clés d'une passion/Keys of a passion" featuring major works influencing the direction of art history in the 20th century. (1/2 day visits, April 1st - July 6). Give yourself some extra time to explore the Bois before or after your visit.

Spring exhibitions

Among the numerous exhibitions in museums, we are especially looking forward to sharing these with you:

Pierre Bonnard, Painting Arcadia, Musée d’Orsay

Cited as the inspiration for artists as diverse as Matisse, Balthus, Bazaine, Sam Francis and Rothko, it is the perfect time for a retrospective for Bonnard's colourful works at Musée d'Orsay.

March 25 - July 15, 1/2 day visit

50 landmark paintings and sculptures by leading American artists including Chuck Close, Elsworth Kelly, and Andy Warhol, of course.

May: Rolling out the red carpet for collectors

May is definitely the month for collectors in Paris : young collectors have always an opportunity to train their eyes and acquire emerging artists at Salon de Montrouge (May 5-June 3) trained collectors from Europe are expected for Choices Collectors Weekend (May 29-31), which includes special exhibits in the galleries.

2015 is a Venice Biennale year!

It starts on May 9th, one month earlier than usual to match the opening date of the Universal exhibition in Milan. The French Pavillion promises to be transformed by excellent artist Celeste Boursier-Mougenot, of living art fame.

Nomadic art in private homes

We are also preparing special visits to introduce you to the new trend of art displayed in fabulous Paris apartments instead of galleries. We're sure you'll love that way of seeing art -- it's quite a selective and personal approach.

stand out from the crowd

city|art insider clients enjoy highly customized visits to international art fairs in Paris, and further afield.

We've taken the time to talk to the curators and critics before your arrival, so we know what you need to see to be au courant -- new names, movements and styles, as well as significant works by established artists.

Combined with your art appreciation or collecting objectives, we take you on a unique visit ensuring you connect with the artworks, artists and galleries that resonate with you.

If you're collecting...

We want you to have a firm handle on the overall context of the art market by the time you leave. That means sharing information about artists' recent sales, and how they compare to the pricing of works on the floor, and how individual artists are expected to perform in the future.

Fall Fair Decoder: Which fair is right for you?

“It was amazing to get an expert critique at the fair, as well as the history and background of each artist. I enjoyed meeting the artists and hearing how they conceived and executed their pieces — being introduced to ideas and conversations I wouldn’t have had access to without city | art insider.”
